I am from the coastal town of Quang Ngai , in the middle of
Vietnam. The
picture on the right is the Tra Khuc River and the Thien-An hill, a famous scene in Vietnam,
the country I love so much. I visited Thien-But Hill a few times with my high school friends.
Vietnam has always been considered a symbol of working, winning and loving.
Now I'm a Professional Design Engineer in the
Civil Engineering in State Government and am currently residing in New Orleans, Louisiana, a beautiful place with the famous
French Quarter and many casinos. I have been working for the Government for almost fifteen
years. I like to work here because I like Roads, Bridges, Traffic
engineering. I had a lot of friends in high school as well as in college. You could see some of them if you click
here (Quangai Forum)
. If you want to see several Vietnames Poets (as Xuan-Dieu, The-Lu, Quang Dzung,
etc...)please click here: (Vietnamese Poets). or you can see some of them as well as Van-Cao, Trinh-Cong-Son anh much more..., in the
Vån Page, (please click here).
I also developed a page displaying the photos of my relatives; if you want to see them please click

I had worked in Vietnam before I left there for United States of America. I met my wife in Vietnam in 1972,
and we married in the USA in December, 1982. A year later, we had our first child named Lisa, then Rosa, then Lam, Jr. and, Julie.
Education
I enjoyed school very much.
I was a student at Saigon National Technology Center in Viet-Nam where I earned my B.S. Degree.
I acquired my Master's Degree of Science in Structures and Geotechnical at the
University of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, where I finally completed my academic career. I did attempt to attend the Ph.D. program at Tulane University in New Orleans but withdrawn from it because of my family condition at the time.
But high school is the time I remember most fondly.
I worked diligently in my classes and was always proud of all of my achievements. I had the chance to
attend all four major High Schools in the Quang Ngai City (middle of Viet-Nam): Bo-De, Chan-Hung, Hung-Vuong, Tran-Quoc-Tuan,.. .
When I was a little child, I lived in a rural area, and I believe that that
was the most interesting experience in my life so far. I went to Kindergarten in Choi Dau Village Elementary at
Tu Chanh B (I had to walk a long distance to get to school, approximately 4 or 5 kilometers, and I was only 6 or 7 years old).
Research
My best research was done at the time that I
was attending the Graduate Program at the University of New Orleans. Using the Finite Element Method and the Finite Different
Method, I developed a Computer Program in Basic Language designing circular foundations on elastic media, published by the
Department of Civil Engineering, UNO.
By ACI Code, writing several computer programs in Fortran Language designing different shapes of reinforced concrete,
shallow foundations. These computer programs were published by ACI (American Concrete Institute) under the title of
"Design of Structural Concrete"-Computer Program Series/COM. A very interesting topic in Vietnam: design a Power House,
(Tram Thuy Dien Thac Ba); this was a B.S Degree Graduation Thesis, 434 pages, handwritten with longhand calculation,
for graduation at The National Institute of Technology, Saigon, South Vietnam. I consider myself a pretty fast learner, keeping
cool and working well under pressure (if it's in fair condition)... I am currently associated with several Professionals to work on Computer Software
as Geographic Information Systems GIS. and
Global Position System GPS .
